Kids Cubist Portraits
Step into the world of Cubism and discover a new way of seeing the human face.
In this hands-on workshop, children will explore the ideas behind Cubist portraiture, inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso. Using layers of cardboard, they'll construct a three-dimensional face, experimenting with shape, structure and form.
Once their portrait has taken shape, children will use vibrant oil pastels to explore colour before adding and rearranging facial features from different viewpoints embracing the playful, unexpected perspective at the heart of Cubism.
Workshop best suited for children ages 5 - 12.
Cost: R350 per child, all materials included.
