Colleen Hulley of Colleena Ceramics brings clay to life in a wonderfully heartfelt way. Raised in Natures Valley with a deep love of nature, her connection to the earth naturally led her to clay. After exploring a number of different industries, Colleen eventually followed her childhood dream and committed fully to pottery. She developed her skills in slab work, coil building and wheel throwing in studios around Cape Town. Today, she teaches and shares her love of clay from her beautiful studio in The Crags, where students are encouraged not only to create and paint, but also to connect with like-minded people in a relaxed and inspiring space. Her approach is hands-on, organic and playful, with every piece reflecting her belief that working with clay is about breathing life into the earth.
